From Trumpets to Tubas, Allegro Triples Its Space

Via press release: Allegro Community School of the Arts is hosting an Open House for the community to celebrate their expanded location at 39 Culpeper Street. On Feb. 2 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Allegro’s instructors and students will dance, sing, perform small theatre skits for the public, and discuss their new programs. Beverages and snacks will be served.

The additional 7,000 square feet of space will allow Allegro to continue growing its programs and add new ones based on community interest.

“We have long out-grown our space on Main Street. The opportunity to bring our programs around the corner onto Culpeper Street is ideal,” says Sam Yoder, Executive Director of Allegro. “We will keep our Main Street location and continue to offer classes from the front window, something passersby have enjoyed seeing over the years. Our Main Street location will serve as the main office for Allegro.”

Allegro offers private lessons, musical theatre, orchestra, choir and vocal ensembles, music therapy, creative aging, music academy for the blind, recording arts, literacy, visual arts and workshops. Registration will be available during the open house. Visit for class descriptions.
