Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

At Verdun Adventure Bound, we want adult participants to grow through experiential learning – or more specifically, “play with a purpose.” With experienced facilitators, the sky is the limit for your office staff to achieve a special unity. It’s all about your team learning about each other, learning team members’ strengths, leadership, experience followership and improved problem-solving skills. Our games facilitate in the building of your team’s skills acumen resulting in improved functionality. At this interactive workshop, we will talk about:

  • Success and vulnerability- more specifically trust
  • Conflict
  • Commitment
  • Accountability
  • Attention to results.

And no worries, we will also play games! So please dress comfortably, come with your office mates, and enjoy this enlightening and entertaining presentation.

Board Academy

Wednesdays, March 7, March 21, and April 4 5:30-8:30 pm 

Effective board leadership and governance help your organization operate to its fullest capacity. Join Cindy Colson, Director for Strategic Initiatives at the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, and Sandra Marra from Marra Consulting Group for the 2018 Board Academy. The Academy is a three-part series focused on the fundamentals of board service. The curriculum consists of interactive classes, readings, experiential learning, and network building. Sessions may require advanced readings and outside class work.

Due to the high level of participant engagement, attendance for all three sessions is expected. Board Academy is designed for current board members, potential board members, and executive directors. If possible, it is recommended that organizations send a couple of representatives. Interested individuals apply to the Academy. Please register to receive an application. Applications will be reviewed for the best mix of experience, diversity, participation-committed individuals.

Training is FREE for organizations in the PATH Foundation footprint.

Let’s Volunteer Day 2018

Let’s Volunteer Day 2018 is Saturday, April 21, 2018. If your organization did not take part in this wonderful area wide day of service, you will not want to miss this day or training! Lynn Lauritzen, Volunteer Center Manager at the PATH Resource Center will outline:

  • Expectations from PATH Foundation for grant;
  • Successful projects from last year;
  • Logistics for organizing a volunteer-centric event;
  • Media strategy for maximum engagement; and
  • Overview of the Let’s Volunteer database and the Let’s Volunteer Day initiative.
