First Friday

It’s that time again- First Friday! This is a free, family-friendly event that is sure to be a great time. Each month has a theme, and August is no exception- the theme for this First Friday will be an Arts Walk, so make sure to come and support the local arts! There will be two beer gardens, live music, lots of great booths open, and activities such as wine tasting at the Town Duck! Delicious food, including the SoBo Food Truck, will also be available. Dog Days of Summer

For a Friday that is sure to be filled with fun activities for you and your pup, check out the Dog Days of Summer event! This event will feature treats, a doggie pool, a K9 costume contest, live music, and other fun games and contests! 3rd Annual Car & Truck Show

Grace Episcopal Church, 6507 Main Street, The Plains. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This community event for the whole family boasts free admission and many more exciting activities! From a moon bounce to the Good Humor Ice Cream Truck, a dunking booth to a raffle and bake sale, you are sure to have lots of things to occupy your time in between looking at and voting for your favorite cars. Awards range from Top 20 to the Grace Church Rector’s Favorite, so bring out your best vehicle! The third annual Car & Truck Show will be benefiting Rise Against Hunger. Allegro Community School for the Arts’ Summer on the Green 2018 Summer Concert Series Presents the Pan Masters

The Corner of Culpeper and Hotel Street, Warrenton. 7:30 p.m.

The Summer on the Green Concert Series is back this week with the Pan Masters Steel Orchestra. They are widely recognized as one of the top steelbands on the east coast, as well as an important cultural institution dedicated to preserving and promoting Caribbean music and culture. Their shows are always popular among Warrentonians. Adult admission is $5, Allegro Friend admission is $4, and admission for ages under 12 is $2.
