Hand Made for the Holidays, Gum Drop Square & Santa’s Secret Workshop
Old Town Warrenton | 6-9 p.m.
If you missed out last Friday due to the rain, this is your last chance to visit the Christmas Market on Main Street!  Featuring handcrafted artisans’ wares, food vendors, and a beer garden to complement Gum Drop Square, you won’t want to miss out on this festive experience. It is also the last weekend to experience the award-winning Gum Drop Square and Santa’s Secret Workshop! Santa will be on hand for photos and hearing your wish list (you can take your own photo with Santa, or have a photo taken for a cash donation). Parents’ Night Out

After taking the kids to Gumdrop Square, plan a little time for yourself to enjoy the holiday magic in Old Town Warrenton on Fridays in December. The First Baptist Church across from the Library on Alexandria Pike is hosting Parents’ Night Out on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Leave your children (kindergarten through 5th grade) with experienced child care providers and youth leaders to enjoy activities, movies, crafts, games and snacks while you enjoy some shopping or dinner in Old Town. $20 for the first child, $5 per additional sibling. Sky Meadows’ Historic Area comes alive with the sights, sounds and smells of the holidays. Enjoy special tours of our Historic Area during this festive season, as the Historic Area will be filled with the aroma of tasty holiday treats cooking over the hearth in the Log Cabin, costumed interpreters , as well as sounds of the season. Manassas Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker

As the holiday season approaches, so does the rich pageantry of Manassas Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker! MBT’s Nutcracker is a classic, family version that is annually the best attended performing arts production in Northern Virginia. Anchored by the dancers of MBT, Northern Virginia’s largest professional ballet company, the story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince comes alive with the help of an ensemble cast and the Manassas Ballet Theatre Orchestra. Known for its exquisite costumes, choreography and scenery, MBT’s production of The Nutcracker has become Northern Virginia’s go-to family holiday tradition. This season there are twelve performances to choose from at the beautiful and accessible Hylton Performing Arts Center. Tickets range from $25-$75 and can be purchased online, via phone, or at the Hylton Center Ticket Office. Cabela’s Winter Wonderland

“The most wonderful time of the year” is almost here! Visit Cabela’s magical winter wonderland setting for a true feel-good holiday experience. Get there early to sign up for a “Bass Pass” to reserve your time to talk to Santa, and explore Santa’s Wonderland or shop the store while waiting in a virtual line. Included is a free 4×6 studio-quality photo in store. Photo packages and Christmas cards are also available for instant purchase — no waiting for delivery! Throughout the day elves will help kids with free holiday crafts, games, and activities too! Ice Skating at the Harris Pavilion
Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center St, Manassas
The Harris Pavilion, in the center of Historic Downtown Manassas, transforms every winter into a beautiful ice rink perfect for family and friends outings. Featuring premium lighting and music to skate by, the rink is just a one-minute walk from the Manassas Train Depot and the VRE parking garage, which is available for free parking after 10 a.m. Skate rentals and lessons are available for all ages.
