Beer, meet chocolate. Bring your friends (or your Valentine) out for a fun-filled Valentine’s Day weekend at Old Bust Head! Featuring a different restaurant or food truck each day is running and a wide array of chocolate truffles by The Conche paired with Old Bust Head brews, you’ll want to come for every day of this special event! Thursday will have a screening of Sleepless in Seattle and fresh bouquets for purchase on-site from Wollam Gardens. Friday and Saturday will have different live bands performing in the evening. Rock Your Asana: Hot Detox Flow

Move through your Vinyasa groove to the classic rock tunes of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with Dana! Ignite the internal fire to burn calories while being energized from within. With a joyful sense of humor and laughter, Dana is eager to share her 30 years of practice and show how this 4000 year old system of breathing and moving produces a positive state of health and wellbeing in our bodies and minds and that everyone has the ability to learn and “do” yoga.

Virginia National Ballet: Aladdin

Virginia National Ballet is thrilled to present a brand new Aladdin, in this world premiere of Artistic Director Rafik Hegab’s choreography. Be transported to exotic lands with the famous story of Aladdin and his adventures with Jasmine, Jafar, the Genie, the magic lamp, and the magic carpet, as he navigates his way through castles and caves of wonder. This family-friendly production features VNB’s fantastic, international professional dancers, amazing choreography, gorgeous sets and costumes, wonderful special effects, all performed to a brilliant musical score by Carl Davis.

Chocolate and Wine Tasting Party

Join Chestnut Forks for a chocolate and wine tasting! There will be a variety of chocolate bars from around the world to sample and 5 wine varieties that pair best with each chocolate. There will also be a variety of chocolate inspired delicacies for you to try. If you have a favorite chocolate “dish” you would like to share, feel free to bring it. Beer and additional glasses of wine as well as items from the Cafe menu will also be available for purchase.

Dark Horse Theatre Company presents “Calamity Improv: The Wild West of Improv Shows” this Valentine’s Day week! It’s tough performing in the town of Scriptless Gulch. These lawless folks have to come up with everything on the spot, while the town’s Sheriff keeps them in line. Don’t miss this bunch of sharp shootin’ buckaroos take audience suggestions and turn them into gold. Load up your chuck wagon because this is one TALL TALE of a show and you don’t want to miss it!

The Gloria Faye Dingus Music Alliance is pleased to welcome Furnace Mountain to Gloria’s Listening Room! Though often overshadowed by Southwest Virginia and its famed Crooked Road, the Shenandoah Valley and Virginia’s northwestern counties have always been fertile ground for traditional music, and they continue to be home to many of its finest practitioners. The group Furnace Mountain, named for a mountain near where all the members grew up, consists of bouzouki, bass, fiddle, and vocals. As the host band of the Watermelon Park Fest, the band has been a staple of music in the region for nearly two decades.

Tickets are $20 and seating is limited. Children 12 and under admitted free with parent or guardian. Proceeds will go to The Gloria Faye Dingus Music Alliance, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing music education and instruments for all those wishing to learn and enjoy music. PSO Young People’s Concert: The Grand Canyon

Join the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra for their annual Young People’s Concert! The beauty and splendor of the Grand Canyon will serve as the backdrop to this year’s performance as well as the theme of the Carole M. Hertz Student Visual Art Contest. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the PSO’s Young Artists’ Competition, wherein three gifted young instrumentalists perform alongside the PSO to compete for scholarship prizes!
