What’s Up? It’s July 4th Weekend!

Warrenton’s Fourth of July Fireworks

Fireworks will be shot from both the WARF and behind Home Depot in Warrenton. These two locations both sit just over 500 feet above sea level and with fireworks shells launching into the nighttime sky, many residents will be able to see them from the comfort of their homes. Alternate viewing for the show behind Home Depot is along Alwington Blvd., and those at the WARF can be viewed from many of the close by parking areas.

Many other fireworks shows around our region have been cancelled this year, but some events are still happening. A roundup here.

4th of July Wave Parade

From at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 4th of July, Warrenton Fire Company, Warrenton Police Department, and Fauquier Sheriff’s Office will be driving through Warrenton neighborhoods with a special guest, Uncle Sam. Come to your windows, stand in your yards, or stay in your vehicles along the “parade” route starting to see fire trucks, police cars, sheriff’s vehicles, and Uncle Sam.

While the organizers tried to include as many neighborhoods as possible, it’s impossible to be everywhere. They apologize for any locations that were left off.
