First Annual Art of Life GALA
Sweeney Barn | 9310 Discovery Boulevard, Manassas | 7 – 10pm

*** YOU ARE INVITED to the Art of Life GALA 2019! *** There will be amazing art and items for auction, guest speakers/performers, delicious local food and drink, music, games, and community spirit!​ ** Black-tie optional. 18 and older, please.

This is a fundraiser/art silent-auction to benefit Therapeutic Adventures, a Virginia based, non-profit organization that helps disabled people of all ages who have complex medical needs (including our military veterans and cancer survivors) enjoy life through outdoor activities- like skiing, fly-fishing, kayaking and cycling – just to name a few.

Delaplane Strawberry Festival
Sky Meadows State Park | 11012 Edmonds Lane, Delaplane | 10am – 5pm

Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun and festive day in the Virginia countryside. The festival is hosted by Emmanuel Episcopal Church; proceeds fund their outreach ministries and grants to worthy organizations in the local community, state, and beyond.

Enjoy hayrides, old fashioned field games, dancing, music, magic, storytelling, crafts, a petting farm, bake sale, hikes in the shadow of the Appalachian Trail, face painting, cake-walking, Corn Hole, a monkey and much more! Pack your own picnic or snack on festival fare and strawberry sundaes! Make a whole day of it and don’t forget to take home a flat of delicious fresh strawberries!

Tickets are $25 per car.

Hometown Hero Day 2019
Bealeton Village Shopping Center | Schoolhouse Road, Bealeton | 10am – 3pm

Local vendors, crafters, military displays, free face painting, balloon animals, games, and more will be fun for the whole family. The Fauquier County Youth Orchestra and Jazz Band will perform and then Lionel Ward, Elvis Tribute artist, takes the stage. At 12:00 pm sharp, will be the Memorial; Honoring our Veterans. Stop by Grioli’s new food truck to purchase a great meal for the family. All proceeds from the live auction benefit the Support our Troops Fund.

Park Valley Church will be hosting a free, family-friendly movie night event in downtown Haymarket. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a movie, popcorn, candy and drinks provided by Park Valley Church!

It’s tough performing in the town of Scriptless Gulch. These lawless folks have to come up with everything on the spot, while the town’s Sheriff keeps them in line. Don’t miss this bunch of sharp shootin’ buckaroos take audience suggestions and turn them into gold. This is one TALL TALE of a show you don’t want to miss. Featuring: “Sundance” Star Bobatoon, “Dakota” Jessie Burns, “Deputy Bootsie” Brittani Hall, Judi “The Outlaw” Laganga, Scott “Doc” Pafumi, Natasha “The Sheriff” Parnian, and “Dead Eye” David Sturdevant.

Goat Yoga at the Archwood Green Barns Farmer’s Market
4557 Old Tavern Road, The Plains | 12 – 1pm

Come roll your mat outside in a field with goats and enjoy a gentle flow in the fresh air. The practice is All Levels and ages. Human kids must be accompanied by an adult and comfortable with animals. 

With goats you never know what will show up on your mat so come laugh and flow. BYO yoga mat, water, sunscreen and a be ready to play. (Rain date June 1st. No refunds.)

Tickets $17 per person.
