The Herdmans are a family of rotten children. They lie, steal, swear, fight, light things on fire, and are the bane of the community. When they get wind of the annual church Christmas pageant, they bully their way into the main roles and wreak havoc. But what some folks feared would be the worst pageant ever turns out to have a special quality that makes everyone rethink the real meaning of the Christmas story. This hilarious and heartfelt musical comedy, adapted from Barbara Robinson’s classic story, will have your family laughing and crying while celebrating the holidays.

Santa Welcomes You to GumDrop Square
2 Courthouse Square, Warrenton | 10am – 5pm

Santa will be shopping throughout Old Town Warrenton to help the community find really neat ideas for gift giving from small, locally owned stores and businesses. Children can meet up with Santa on the at the corner of 5th St and Main St and walk down to the John Barton Payne Building to open Santa’s Workshop at GumDrop Square! Children will be able to visit with Santa and purchase gifts from Santa’s Workshop between the hours of 3:00 – 5:00pm.

Rockin for the Kids: Brothers in Christ Charity Event
5615 Wellington Road, Gainesville | 12 – 9pm

Join Brothers in Christ for their annual Rockin for the Kids! There will be live music, raffles, and much more. $10 cover charge or a new unopened toy.

Sunday, December 1
Winter Market at the Small Barn
4557 Old Tavern Road, The Plains | 10am – 3pm

Your favorite vendors will be spreading holiday cheer inside the cozy, warm small barn and outside in the small barn parking lot December 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd. Browse the vendor tables inside, and the tents outside, to shop for locally produced hot prepared foods, baked goods, artisan gifts, preserved foods, meats and eggs from local farmers, seasonal produce, storage crops, honey, coffee, and so much more!

A Nutcracker Tea, Three Seatings
92 Main Street, Warrenton | 11am, 1 pm, and 3 pm

Join members of the cast from The Lasley Centre for the Performing Arts and Gateau Bakery for a magical tea party at the Gloria Faye Dingus Music Alliance.
