Fauquier County Public Library offers glasses on first come first serve basis.
Once again, eclipse viewing glasses are again available at all three Fauquier County Public Library location, on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no charge for the glasses, but glasses are limited to one per person.
In addition, the library will host an eclipse viewing party on Monday, August 21, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Join the community to learn about the phenomenon, enjoy astronomical-themed refreshments and watch the eclipse unfold. Although the total eclipse will not pass directly over Virginia, approximately 81 percent of the sun’s surface will be eclipsed in the Washington, DC area.
The Fauquier County Public Library welcomes over 22,000 visitors each month.
