Outdoor Program Series with Cabela’s  – Owl Prowl
Silver Lake Park | 16198 Silver Lake Road, Haymarket | 6 to 8pm

Join Cabela’s and PWC Parks and Recreation for a night of owling in the park. Start at the activity building with an information session on owls native to our area. Learn about their habitat and how to recognize the sound of these amazing nocturnal navigators. Explore Silver Lake Regional Park, by the light of an almost full moon, on an owl prowl. Dress warm for the weather. A campfire and hot beverage will be provided. Register by February 5, 2020.

The Williams, Truelove, & Friends Band at Club Eclipse
5615 Wellington Road, Gainesville | 9:30pm – 1:30am

This band brings high energy, playing 80s music to today’s country. Dance to a packed house!

All Love Expo at the Hampton Inn
7300 Atlas Way, Gainesville| 1 – 4pm

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! This expo will feature local crafters and neighboring small businesses so you can get that special gift for your special loved one.

Saturday, February 8
National Blanket Hearts Day -NoVA Event
7950 Virginia Oaks Drive, Gainesville | 3:30 – 5pm

This local event is part of National Blanket Hearts Day, a national day of service established by Blanket Hearts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing comfort to those in need through the loving production and distribution of ‘no-sew’ blankets in communities nationwide.

These easy-to-make blankets will be distributed to Inova Children’s Hospital in Fairfax, the Serve Our Willing Warriors Retreat in Haymarket, Georgetown University Hospital, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, the Sweet Julia Grace Foundation, and numerous other local organizations!

Can you tie a knot? Then you can make a ‘no-sew’ blanket! Come for 20 minutes or stay for the full event, and help us ‘blanket’ this community with the love offered by these hand-crafted treasures. Supplies will be provided. All helping hands and willing hearts will be welcomed!

Saturday, February 8
7th Annual Sweetheart Swing Dance at the Marshall Community Center
4133 Rectortown Road, Marshall | 7 – 9:30pm

The Silver Tones will be performing a special sweetheart dance to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Love will be in the air, as the band plays romantic Big Band favorites, including The Glory of Love, The Way You Look Tonight, I’m in the Mood for Love, L-O-V-E, I Love Being Here With You, Love Potion #9, and so many others.

Make a free dedication of a song to your sweetheart. Special guest vocalist, Aaron Talley, will be joining us to serenade all the sweethearts with his velvet voice! Complimentary Valentine’s Day sweets will be served. Refresher/beginner swing dance lesson with swing instructor Valerie Pyle starts at 7 pm.

Sunday, February 9
Charity Concert for Haymarket Regional Food Pantry
6750 Fayette Street, Haymarket | 3pm – 5pm

St. Paul’s Haymarket will present a concert with all proceeds going to the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry. In lieu of the sale of concert tickets, it is suggested that guests attending the concert bring either non-perishable food items to donate, cash, or check made out to the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry.

The performers at the concert will be members of St. Paul’s Parish, including many of the members of the church choir. “We are blessed to have many talented singers and musicians within our parish and we felt it would be natural for us to utilize their talents for the benefit of the Food Pantry”.

The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry (HRFP) mission is H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Eat. The HRFP is a multi-faith, community based ministry comprised entirely of volunteers dedicated to eliminating hunger by providing food to individuals and families in Haymarket, Gainesville and the surrounding areas.
