Run & Ride the Hump

For three fun Wednesdays in August, Adventure Enablers and Velofix are presenting the Run & Ride the Hump Race Series on the James Long Park Trails. This race consists of a trail run or a mountain bike course, with divisions in both for all skill levels. The Mountain Bike course involves multiple laps around a 3.8 mile loop and the Trail Race is a 5k, both are sure to have you feeling the burn. The trails at James Long are a mix of single track with a few punchy climbs and exciting drops. There’s nothing too technical but enough to keep it interesting.

Now, you don’t have to give up any other weekend activities you may have planned, and you don’t have to wait until the weekend to have some fun! This is a great way to get in a mid-week workout and have an excuse to sneak out of work a little early to beat the traffic.

The events will be held on August 8, August 15, and August 22. Trail races begin at 5:30 pm and the mountain bike races begin at 6:30 pm, with the area opening up at 4:30 pm. Make sure to check out the webpage to register and fill out your waiver ahead of time. Results will be tallied over the three events, and awards will be presented at the final event.

And you’ll be hungry after all that exercise! Luckily, there will be participating food trucks to help you recharge:
