Fauquier County has a new doctor in town who brings Naturopathic Medicine to the region. Warrenton’s established practice of Dr. Verma at Lifestyle Physicians welcomes Dr. Alexandra Cope. She will focus primarily on women, treating fertility, and PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) which is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age.
When asked about adding a new brand of wellness and care to his practice, Dr. Verma said, “as I continue my education, I realize there are many things that traditional medical practices do not address, and I felt compelled to expand the type of care we provide to serve the need our patients told us they have. Dr. Cope is exceptional.”
Licensed by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine in 2016, Dr. Cope brought her practice to Charlottesville and Richmond. Her approach to integrated health care spans several disciplines and her experience includes the study of nutrition and pharmaceuticals, pharmacology, and diagnostic medicine. Dr. Cope has interned with fasting specialists and physicians who utilized herbalism and spirituality in their formal practices.
Expanding her practice to the Warrenton office of Lifestyle Physicians provided her with an opportunity to support a growing practice that shares her values. “It made sense to work with a doctor who is already engaged in hormone therapeutics and women’s health. Dr. Verma and I practice in a complementary way that will serve women who want a more natural and balanced approach to their health and wellness.”
Lifestyles Physicians has operated in Warrenton since 2016 and Culpeper since 2017. The Wellness Center provides Medical Weight Loss care, Concierge Primary Care Medicine, IV Nutritional Therapies, and an expanded practice for women’s reproductive health.
