This year’s peek into Warrenton designer Amy Boyle’s holiday home

Once again for our holiday issue, 11 Magnolia Lane design blogger Amy Boyle of Warrenton is sharing her holiday decor with us. Amy, using just a few standard staples from year to year, creates a whole new holiday look every year to keep her blog fresh for her followers. With three children, her challenge is creating a festive and magical environment for gorgeous photos for the blog that is also livable for her family.
Her home itself is done in a neutral color scheme, which allows her to play with all sorts of different colors for the holiday season; she especially likes the festivity of gold and silver metallics, but this year is incorporating a little of the more traditional reds and greens also. She’s always keeping her eye out for unique items that spark her creativity and that she can develop a theme around, usually using her favorite design elements of ribbon and greenery in the process. The outcome of all her efforts is no small feat — with multiple Christmas trees and almost every room decorated — and a peek into Amy’s house is like an entry into a holiday wonderland.
